Introduction

In nursing, there are four meta paradigms: the person, the environment, health, and nursing. Patients are the center of attention in a person’s metaparadigm, which emphases on the patient. It may contain a person’s devoutness, ethos, family and groups or socioeconomic situation in this list. There are both internal and exterior variables affecting the patient in the metaparadigm setting. Patients’ interactions with visitors, as well as their environment, may be considered. The metaparadigm is defined as the patient’s quality of life and overall well-being in terms of wellbeing. It similarly includes the patient’s aptitude to access health services. Lastly, nursing is a meta paradigm component. This is a reference to the nurse and her assistant. The four meta paradigms of nursing include person, environment, health, and nursing.

1) Person / Human Being

Watson posits that a human has three aspects: a mental state, a physical state, and a spiritual state. As a result, the Human Caring Theory places larger importance on the spiritual component of a person. An individual, in their entirety, is valued and deserving of respect, help, and care. A soul, in this context, refers to a greater feeling of self and is related to the psychological notion of self-actualization. As Watson points out, a person can increase their inner healing ability and achieve an intuitive mystic and even miracle-like experience.

2) Environment

The Human Caring Theory

According to the available literature, a nurse can offer a loving and healing atmosphere under Watson’s Theory. The environment refers to the internal and environmental variables that can assist a person in actualizing their innate power of self-healing. A nurse may use ten processes in the Caritas model to help and care for someone (Hawthorne, 2021): love, empathy, trust, and teaching/learning opportunities. In such charming times, the nurse and person will become one, and both will transcend themselves. Watson described only a caring atmosphere.

3) Health

Persian Mysticism

Spirituality is valued, and human beings are created to perfect it. However, spirituality is constrained by the physical component in material existence. A divine essence, the spirit does not belong to this framework, therefore existing in the natural world and enduring its characteristics causes anguish and suffering. Everything that makes people pain has been a source of frustration for humans for millennia (Rayan, 2021). An outré, if the soul begins to leave its worldly reality, it can discover a way to join the divine spirit and attain serenity or what is called a healthy condition of mysticism since humans have the option of moving upward or below.

Nursing

Metaparadigm’s nursing component focuses on delivering the best possible care to patients by building and maintaining trusting relationships that foster a safe and loving environment. As part of the nursing component’s tasks and responsibilities for attaining the greatest possible patient health result, nurses apply knowledge, skills, technology, partnerships, professional judgment, and communication principles. A high level of service is valued in this nursing component, and it combines with other meta paradigm components to ensure the well-being of patients.

Person

Human needs are addressed through human care in Watson’s understanding of the nursing metaparadigm, person. As she sees it, everyone has their own set of unique and unforeseen requirements, and it’s important to embrace and respect that. Regardless of their desires, cultures, or beliefs, we can meet their demands. According to her, someone must be able to. Adopting a holistic approach that considers the mind, body and spirit is essential to cure oneself properly. As she argues, the healing process is hindered by missing any one of these components. “to the fullest extent possible, Each patient needs to be appreciated and understood, intending to improve the quality of life for them and being truly present as a nurse.

Environment

In addition, Watson believes that the environment has a significant impact on the nursing process.

In addition to patients, the environment may also impact nurses. As an example, a nursing unit’s morale has plummeted to an all-time low. Consequently, the unit’s nursing supervisors came up with the notion of using some of Watson’s ideas. As a result, coworkers inside the unit developed stronger ties and a better sense of camaraderie (Summerell, 2015). Conclusion

In conclusion, It’s important to give a theoretical framework that can illustrate how to assist a person’s bio-, psycho-, socio-, and spiritual potentials flourish because nursing is a loving profession. For the purpose of finding a more complete nursing theory, we evaluated one of the existing theories with a theistic point of view as a preliminary step. As a result of our research, we were able to identify certain commonalities between the Human Caring Theory and Persian mysticism conceptions of nursing, despite both having a human-centered framework. Through this comparison, one may see the key similarities and differences.
