In 2009 I graduated from a UK University with a BA (Hons) in International Business. The degree covered many varied areas, including operations management, marketing, politics, accounting and finance and business strategy; all of which increased my theoretical knowledge of the areas to a standard that met my practical experience. I have excellent research skills and have been producing high quality research papers for many years, including before university where the information was used at board level. I am also an experienced Procurement and Operations Manager, graduate and member of the Chartered Management Institute.
My dissertation, for which I was awarded a 1st, involved analysis of third world national resources and I attempted to find the answers to why third world countries that are resourcefully rich are in fact economically poor. In regard to my work experience prior to attending university, I spent many years as a Purchasing Manager buying luxury items for a nationwide company as well as working as an Operations Manager for several years. At present I am studying for a level 5 qualification with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, and my career aspirations are to eventually become the Buying Director for a FTSE 250 company.
