I am a qualified and practising advocate in private practice. I hold an LLM in International Law from a UK University, and also an LLB, BA Honours (jointly in Classics and Philosophy) and a BA (Legal Theory, Classics and Philosophy). I graduated at the top of my law class and was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship for further studies. I write in the following areas: philosophy, contract law, delict (tort), trademarks and copyright, banking and insolvency law, legal ethics, jurisprudence, and constitutional and human rights law. In respect of the latter, I have done research relating to UK, European and international jurisdictions such as Canada and South Africa and, in particular, the philosophical underpinnings of the notions of human rights protection and enforcement.
