I am a graduate in Genetics and Molecular Cell Biology from a leading Russell Group University and have research experience varying from cellular receptor function, bone biology to cancer-targeting therapies. I also hold a Triple Distinction in a National Diploma in Applied Sciences and have worked in ISO and GMP accredited forensic, biotechnology and microbiology laboratories. I have participated in the organisation of several science and academic events and have been involved learning and teaching quality assurance. I have won various national and international awards for my participation in science contests, events and student initiatives. I hold a particular interest in communicating scientific topics effectively, to high academic standards. Moreover, I am passionate about the understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying disease development and am for that reason committed to a career in research.
